“News" article is a mouthpiece for the pro-Israel lobby's propaganda”

"Overall, your article provides very little critical analysis of the antisemitism report you describe in your story. It comes across as a platform for pro-Israel groups who want to undermine the credibility and character of people who support Palestinian liberation and criticize Israel."

No mention of the rise of anti-Palestinian racism hate crimes and Palestinian voices

You fail to mention anti-Palestinian racism, which should have been pointed out since Palestinians are the main group concerned by free speech over the Israel-Hamas war. Simply writing “hate crimes targeting Arab communities” erases the separate Palestinian identity and is a form of anti-Palestinian racism.

Article needs correction to include Palestinian perspectives

As the issue of free speech will directly concern them, it is fundamental to include Palestinian perspectives to illustrate how the policies will impact the level of support they get and feel.

Questionable framing of video segment about campus issues

"This type of statement that went unnoticed conflates a pro-Palestine stance with Hamas as a way to not only discredit the cause but also the legitimacy of their concerns regarding Israel’s bombardment campaign on Gaza. This is a highly concerning and problematic statement that borders false accusations, as no evidence is provided to support such a claim."

Misrepresention of a pro-Israel student group and exclusion of Palestinian voices

"Many Jewish students at York and elsewhere do not support Israel nor its ongoing actions in Gaza, which are plausibly genocidal. To obscure the essential and relevant information that Hillel is not merely a Jewish student group, but a Zionist one, is to profoundly mislead your viewers."

One-sided article engages in anti-Palestinian narrative

"Your article does not give the same treatment to the claims made by Palestinian students, no additional arguments are provided in their defense, although there are numerous. This demonstrates an alarming lack of balance on a sensitive issue, that of anti-Palestinian racism and Islamophobia."

Article misrepresents the intentions of pro-Palestine campus protests

"This chant is not hate speech or a call to hate crime. Unfortunately, it has been time and time again unfairly described as such by pro-Israel organizations to prevent legitimate criticism of the State of Israel and its actions, and mentioning only this interpretation of the chant makes the article biased."

One-sided article lacks Palestinian perspectives

"Your article only gives voice to Henry Topas, Quebec's regional director of B'nai Brith and a Jewish student, without giving voice to other critical pro-Palestinian voices or perspectives and students who voted for this pro-Palestine policy."

Article fails to define antisemitism & include Palestinian perspectives

"It is a critical point that should be included as these two concepts can get conflated. The confusion between these two terms only encourages Israel’s impunity for its policies and actions violating Palestinian human rights. Pro-Palestine supporters also face deep consequences, such as losing their jobs, being harassed online, censured, and physically injured."

Thanks for challenging the Israeli military narrative

"Your citing the sources of the data you use to describe the violence is excellent as this allows the reader to make their own decision as to the veracity of the numbers. Unlike other reporters, you do not merely parrot the IDF propaganda. Thank you for this."
