Media outlets should always question unsubstantiated Israeli claims

"I am raising this because it is the responsibility of the media to approach such claims with skepticism and independently verify allegations made by Israel, particularly when they are not substantiated by credible evidence. In fact, these claims are often contradicted by statements from Hamas and, as noted by the OHCHR, could not be verified by an independent third party."

Verifying with the IOF = asking a defendant to confess their own guilt

Why is this not enough? Why is Palestinian testimony being treated as secondary?

Misleading subheading in CBC news article

"Why does CBC repeat Israeli propaganda in the subheading when the article exposes it as baseless? Journalistic accuracy depends on clearly differentiating between assertions and facts. If an assertion has not been independently verified, journalistic integrity demands it be reported as the spokesperson’s opinion or perspective, rather than as an established fact. Given that the article directly debunks this claim, the subheading should unequivocally reflect this skepticism."

Pressure CBC News to mention Israel's blockade of aid into Gaza

CBC's reporting on Gaza’s growing lack of humanitarian aid excludes the fact that Israel's blockade of the strip has denied the passage of basic goods like diapers. Israel’s role as the occupying power means it has the legal responsibility to ensure the safe delivery of aid.

Misleading language in Netanyahu's trial analysis article

"Given that countless experts have “accused” Israel of genocide over the last year, this framing lumps Amnesty’s findings into that pile of accusations. Amnesty’s findings are exceptional, they are a firm conclusion that Israel is committing genocide."

Request for deceptive headline revision in Chris Brown's article

"Your headline is not an accurate summation of the article. In fact, it will skew the reader's interpretation to believe that Hamas is behind the lawlessness in Gaza, not Israel. We can’t know if the looting etc. is caused by a weakened Hamas or not - this is only speculation at this point."

CBC has not informed readers about Israel’s occupation of Gaza

"In October of this year, I complained to CBC about not clearly stating that Gaza is occupied. Editors rejected the complaint. I asked CBC's Ombudsman to look at the case. He said he can not make decisions about omissions. How will CBC address these concerns?"

Thanks for balanced reporting on Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians in occupied Gaza

"Smotrich’s statements advocating, say, the starvation of 2 million Gazans, is inconvenient for Western politicians—including in Canada— who justify Israel’s atrocities as an act of self-defence. They ignore the fact that most people in Gaza have already been the victims of dispossession and displacement, as well as being blockaded in what’s been described as the world’s largest open-air prison."

Misleading and biased framing in coverage of Amsterdam soccer incident

"In the interest of fairness, the article should have framed the situation more accurately, by presenting the Israeli supporters as the primary instigators of the violence—attacking buildings with Palestinian flags, shouting racist slogans, and engaging in other provocative acts."

Thanks for balanced coverage of Canada’s stance on Palestinian statehood

"I see a dearth of solid reportage on Israel and Palestine in Canadian media, and I know that pro-Israel groups such as Honest Reporting Canada attack journalists who report critically or even simply provide accurate information on Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, or on its policies and practices toward Palestinians."
