CBC: The term intifada is widely understood to mean a civil uprising and not terror attacks

"While it is true that Intifadas in Palestine have included violent events, they are fundamentally about resisting oppression. The resistance has been mixed, involving both violent and non-violent methods. To frame calls for an intifada as inherently violent is a gross misrepresentation and does a disservice to your readers."

Thank The Hill Times for publishing an excellent Op-Ed that provides a balanced report on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza

"The Hill Times published an excellent Op-Ed that provides a balanced report on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. It effectively highlights the ongoing silencing and intimidation of Palestinian and pro-Palestinian voices and bravely sheds much-needed light on the stark contrast between Canada’s historical stance against apartheid in South Africa and its current silence regarding Israel’s war in Gaza."

The London Press the incident you reporter is an incident of Anti-Palestinian Racism not Islamophobia

"The headline vaguely and passively indicates that a hate crime occurred. This is clearly a case of anti-Palestinian racism. Nehal Al Tarhuni explicitly calls it “anti-Palestinian hate” in the article, yet this critical point is buried in the seventh paragraph. This is a journalistic sin and indicates a lack of confidence in the reporting by The London Press."

Since when is standing up against apartheid, genocide, colonization and state violence antisemitic?

"Accusations of antisemitism against Hamas’s new charter cannot be made that easily. Yet, you choose to mention their 1988 charter to accuse it of anti-Semitism and, again, further your point that the Edmonton Pride Center has praised them and that it’s being antisemitic. Please remove this sentence from your article, as it is not relevant and accurate to write outdated information to prove your point."

Unlike other articles regarding this topic, you denounce the conflation of antisemitism and anti-Zionism and plainly state that Dahab’s advocacy for Palestine is pro-Palestinian and anti-genocide, not antisemitic. Thank you for writing this article defending Dahab and her Palestinian advocacy. Please continue to do so!

Correction needed to offer a more complete picture about the consequences professionals face for voicing their pro-palestine stance

"You do not mention the broader context of the conflation between antisemitism and anti-Zionism that Dahab was subjected to and, thus, the crackdown on free speech, which she was a victim of. Please be more explicit on the issue of free speech by adding a section from this open letter to your article. Free speech is a core aspect of this controversy."

Palestinian critical voices omitted in the discussion about Canada’s online harms bill

"If you insist on maintaining the current prominence of voices in the article, I ask you to change the word “Haters” in your headline to “content creators” to remove any moral judgment and one-sidedness from your headline."
