AP article published on Toronto Star's website fails to meet basic journalism standards

"I’ve consistently provided The Associated Press with this type of feedback since January 2024. I’ve emailed a total of 75 letters to a range of journalists and editors at AP. In all of these letters, I’ve laid out well-researched and thorough arguments explaining how they’ve violated basic journalistic standards, as well as recommended edits. Despite this consistent feedback, The Associated Press has not replied to a single one of my letters. This lack of responsiveness and accountability demonstrates that AP has closed itself off to meaningful dialogue with its readers."

News segment reporting on a Palestinian family escaping Gaza only states "Israel" once

"Editing this segment would be ideal to attribute the suffering of the family that was “forced to bribe their way out of Gaza” to Israel’s military onslaught, and not an ambiguous “conflict” or “war-torn Gaza.” Otherwise, this segment is incredibly delusive. Since CBC has rarely edited news segments in response to criticism, I will instead request The National team to consider this critique in future coverage."

Thank You for unbiased op-ed about Israel's massacre of Palestinians in Rafah

I have no words to explain how I feel about what happened in Rafah. Within the tents, Palestinians were literally reduced to ashes. Among the survivors, displaced Palestinians were forced to look through the debris using their bare hands to search for the deceased and injured. In light of this, I thank you for accurately depicting the events of May 26.

Article about famine in Gaza lacks context

There are glaring holes in your reporting of the famine and ongoing Genocide in Gaza due to your weak and obscure language, which subtly undermines the scale of starvation and dehydration in the Gaza Strip and, most importantly, absolves Israel of its central responsibility for these devastating outcomes.

Correction for Recent AP Rafah article

"The article’s subheading does not mention that the new strikes were from Israel. CJPME believes there should be absolute clarity for audience members to know who is striking whom in a conflict zone."

Unlike others, Toronto Star stands up for Rafah

Unlike other media outlets in Canada whose Editorial Boards have consistently supported genocide, the Toronto Star Editorial team wrote a principled column about Rafah. While imperfect, it stands in stark contrast to the fanatical writings of outlets like the Globe and Mail or Postmedia's publications.

National Post's EIC Rob Roberts Failure to Report on Rafah Should Weigh Heavily on His Conscience

"While the National Post has published an endless stream of articles focused on Hamas firing rockets at Tel Aviv which did barely any damage and thousands of articles solely recounting the Israeli perspective of the events on October 7, it is baffling that there has been no mention of the recent massacre of civilians in Rafah today"

Article obscures the true extent of Palestinian suffering

I am disappointed that your reporting deviates from basic journalistic standards, failing to provide clarity on Palestinian victims and thus minimizing the tragedy of Palestinian civilian deaths, particularly among vulnerable groups such as women, children, and the elderly.

Article exemplifies double standard by calling Hamas attacks acts of terrorism, but not Israel‘s

If Canada’s attribution is the reason you’ve made a broad-brush generalization of Hamas as a terrorist entity, then that needs to be made clear in your article. Otherwise, your vocabulary insinuates a moral judgment, which is inappropriate in any article not labeled as an op-ed.
