Thanks for good coverage on the Toronto Palestine film festival

"Your own coverage, with its accurate reference to the Palestinian "struggle for freedom" in its subheading and its recognition of the Palestinian "liberation movement" in the article's text, marks part of this overdue step towards a politics of inclusion of which a city can be proud."

Dear Donovan Vincent and Richie Assaly,

I'm writing to express my heartfelt appreciation for the article in today's Star on the Toronto Palestine Film Festival. I hope we can look forward to more coverage like this!

You quote Dania Majid as saying that she felt compelled to hide her identity as a child, and that the new prominence of inclusive phrases like "Free Palestine" in downtown Toronto is a thing to be celebrated. Your own coverage, with its accurate reference to the Palestinian "struggle for freedom" in its subheading and its recognition of the Palestinian "liberation movement" in the article's text, marks part of this overdue step towards a politics of inclusion of which a city can be proud.

I repeat, therefore, my sincerest appreciation of this fine coverage, and will be swayed to Star subscription if I see more of the same!

Respectfully yours,
