Please help us criticize this one-sided National Post article that almost exclusively cites the Israeli military. The article:

  • Cites, as fact, many unverified claims by the Israeli military, including that Abu Ajina, commander of the Beit Lahia Battalion of Hamas’s Northern Brigade, was behind the October 7 incursion in Southern Israel.
  • Fails to mention the damage the Israeli military has deliberately inflicted on Gaza's infrastructure (hospitals, schools, mosque, church, shops, etc.).
  • Fails to mention Palestinian casualties.
  • Omits any Palestinian voices or sources. It only cites Israeli or pro-Israel sources.
  • The article mentions Judea and Samaria instead of the Occupied West Bank.
  • Excludes any broader context about Gaza or occupation.

It is unacceptable for the National Post to be publishing such biased articles and presenting them as "news." As a member of the National NewsMedia Council, the National Post is obligated to meet a basic standard. It does not even come close with this article.
