Disputing Vivian Bercovici's apology for genocide

"I don’t doubt that she could find an Israeli government source, or a dubious right-wing source for much of her drivel, but I’m surprised the National Post (NP) is so starved for pro-Israel content that they will print Ms. Bercovici’s unabashed pro-apartheid bunk."

Dear Ms. Bercovici, Mr. Jerema,

It’s with amusement and pity that I read Ms. Bercovici’s op-ed “Vivian Bercovici: The truth behind Israel's June 8 hostage rescue.”  In her piece, Ms. Bercovici throws assertions, aspersions and accusations right and left, with nary a concern to add a link or a credible source.  I don’t doubt that she could find an Israeli government source, or a dubious right-wing source for much of her drivel, but I’m surprised the National Post (NP) is so starved for pro-Israel content that they will print Ms. Bercovici’s unabashed pro-apartheid bunk.

Whether Bercovici or the NP will admit it, upwards of 270 Palestinians were killed and 698 wounded in the shameful “Israeli rescue operation” in Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.  History will condemn Bercovici’s cover for Israeli genocide.

Since Bercovici’s piece is an op-ed, it’s hard to take her balderdash to the NNC, except when she states something which is incontrovertibly false.  I am unaware of any evidence that “UNRWA […] disputes Hamas death figures since October 7.”  If you cannot support this claim, would you remove it from Bercovici’s piece.  Otherwise, we’ll all have to go through the onerous process of an NNC complaint.

Should you wish to discuss further, you can reach me at 438-380-5410.

Sincerely,

Thomas Woodley, MPA
