Dear Day 6 producers and CBC’s editorial newsroom,

I’m writing to you on behalf of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME, https://www.cjpme.org) to express appreciation for a segment aired on February 20, 2026 titled “A Canadian proudly lists Palestine as her birthplace on her passport for the first time” on Day 6, CBC Radio One.  

Both the journalist and CBC deserve thanks for such a compelling human interest story, which leaves the listener informed and inspired. 

I encourage CBC to continue to highlight these substantive issues of concern to Palestinians, Palestinian-Canadians, and those who care about them, as we work to collectively draw attention to perspectives and movements that are often sidelined in Canadian mainstream media.
