Thank you for inviting Michael Lynk, the former Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory, to respond to your question as to the current reality on the ground in Gaza.

I am writing on behalf of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) to express our appreciation for the CTV affiliated news report that was aired on May 19, 2026 at 9:05 a.m. on the CJON-DT channel.

Thank you for inviting Michael Lynk, the former Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory, to respond to your question as to the current reality on the ground in Gaza. Mr. Lynk provided a factual and accurate response as to what the terms of the ceasefire were and then described how those terms were being ignored and/or violated by Israel.

Please continue to provide accurate and factual information from reputable sources in your news reports. Listeners and viewers need to understand the ongoing reality for Palestinians in Gaza and why Canadians continue to advocate for our government to take concrete action.
