Thank you for balanced article on Project Montreal's motion

CJPME would also like to applaud Projet Montréal for their integrity and advocacy on this crucial issue.

To Jesse Feith and the Montreal Gazette,

I am writing on behalf of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) to thank you for your article “Motion calling on Montreal to cut ties with Israel pushed to August” by Jesse Feith, published on June 15, 2026.

Thank you for this article which clearly demonstrates the practice of Anti Palestinian Racism (APR) at Montreal’s city council. The fact that the motion put forward by Projet Montréal was pushed off until August confirms that APR is alive and well in Montreal’s city council.

It is interesting to note that any discussion of anti-semitism is never suppressed, in fact it is given priority. A double standard that speaks volumes about systemic racism.

CJPME would also like to applaud Projet Montréal for their integrity and advocacy on this crucial issue.

Again, thank you for this insightful article.
