The attack on the visibly Muslim woman in 2024 was alarming in that it is clearly part of a growing rise in anti-Palestinian and anti-Muslim incidents since October 7, 2023. For that reason, we would have appreciated if the 2024 attack was referenced as anti-Muslim or anti-Palestinian raciism earlier in your article rather than relegating it to the very end of the article.

I am writing on behalf of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) to express our appreciation for the CBC News report that was posted online on July 13, 2026 - 'He is not above the law': Swiss man who punched anti-war protester a no-show in Ottawa court’ and in a July 14 radio report at 8:32 am on CBC Radio One Ottawa 91.5.
While other Canadian media outlets did not not report on the no-show by Mr. Henschel, we appreciated that CBC Ottawa provided coverage both online and on the radio.
