Thank you giving space for an artist who shared that her work was inspired by the genocide in Gaza and U.S. aggression against Iran.
We especially appreciate that the artist was given the space to state that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.This is context we always ask the media to include, as Israel is no longer waging a war anymore. It is committing genocide, and the intent is fundementally different than war: it is genocidal. As Amnesty explains, Israel is acting “with the specific intent to destroy Palestinians in Gaza – acts including killings, causing serious bodily or mental harm, and deliberately inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction.”
