To the Simcoe Reformer,
I am writing today to thank you for publishing the letter from your reader Ruth Johnston. It is refreshing to read this perspective especially from a paper that falls under the Post Media umbrella.
Ms. Johnston expresses in plain terms what most of our planet is thinking and feeling regarding the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. She correctly sees the transparent attempts by Israel supporters to weaponize anti semitism to silence and demonize those who speak out against genocide.
She also makes valid points about the value of free speech and the underreporting of Islamophobia in our media.
For example here is a story that received very limited attention in our media recently.
