On June 27, 2023, Saltwire published an article by the Reuters wire service that read like a press release from the Israeli military. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant is quoted at length in regards to Israel’s alleged plan to “crack down on Jewish settler riots.” Any serious journalism should be skeptical of his claims, as there are countless recent and historic examples of Israeli soldiers standing by, or actively participating, while Israeli settlers attack Palestinians.

Not a single Palestinian is quoted in the article — only Israeli and US officials. Please demand that Saltwire and Reuters update their piece, add Palestinian voices, and refrain from one-sided reporting of this kind going forward.
