On July 27, the Toronto Star published an Op-Ed by Columnist Linda McQuaig about Canada’s weak response to Israel’s efforts at settlement expansion. She calls on Canada’s leadership to “speak up” in defence of Palestinians.

This is one of the few articles we see in Canadian media that makes clear Israel’s annexation agenda and that puts forward a challenge to the Canadian government to take decisive action.

In all likelihood, McQuaig’s article will be met with fierce criticism. It is important to show that she is not alone and many Canadians share her sentiments.
