Challenge Hamilton Spectator for making false claims about pro-palestinian protests

Please help us challenge the points mentioned by Daniel Kollek in his opinion piece. The author makes several unfounded claims. Even opinions must be grounded in fact. Join us in challenging these gross misrepresentations, which have no place in a fair and balanced media landscape.

  • The article claims that the “From the River to the Sea” chant is a calling for genocide against Israelis. In reality, protesters are calling for freedom and human rights for Palestinians living under occupation.
  • Kollek ludicrously accuses pro-Palestine supporters of using "Palestinian suffering as a tool to promote a hate agenda."
  • The column essentially argues that any statements by Gazans is a lie. He repeats multiple contested claims by the Israeli military as fact.
  • The opinion piece claims that Hamas has prevented fuel from reaching hospitals which is not true. It is actually the opposite. Israel has prevented fuel from reaching hospitals.

Since we've included the email for submitting letters to the editor, you may consider writing your letter such that it could be published in the letters section.  The Hamilton Spectator asks for letters of 250 words or less.
