Please help us challenge a Canadian Press article that omits essential information about the evacuation of Canadians from Gaza and Israel’s role in the attacks on Gaza.
Here’s a list of points you can mention in your letter:
- The article describes Hamas’s October 7 attack as being only on "Israeli civilians." However, Israel itself has reported that at least 300 service members were confirmed killed.
- The article discusses the critical lack of food, water, and fuel in Gaza, but does not mention Israel's near-total siege of the territory nor its attacks on hospitals.
- While the article focuses on evacuating Canadians from the territory, it fails to address that apartheid policies make it so Israeli-Canadians are quickly evacuated but many Palestinian-Canadians are trapped.
