Please help us challenge Montreal Gazette's choice to interview Paul Hirschson, Israeli consul general, about Montreal issues related to the Israel-Hamas war and not challenge his claims.

  • The article fails to give more context about Paul Hirschson as he is deeply biased and has stated some unverified or false claims about Hamas bombing the Al-Ahli hospital, comparing it to ISIS, and Israel respecting international humanitarian law, while it has been proven by human rights organizations that it is not. The list goes on.
  • The Journalist fails to correct him about conflating antisemitism and anti-Zionism or even add a sentence about the difference between these two concepts.
  • The journalist fails to challenge his claim that Israel's actions amount to self-defense. 
  • Given the Montreal Gazette's overall coverage, this article further entrenches the firm bias against Palestinian narratives. Here again, Palestinians are excluded.
