  • The article mentions Palestinian prisoners but omits any discussion of their conditions. All the focus is on the conditions of Israeli hostages.
  • The article fails to compare the accounts of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners. It also fails to acknowledge that many Palestinians are held in administrative detention, meaning there are no charges against them and they will not face a fair trial.
  • Recently released Palestinian prisoners interviewed by Al-Jazeera described “catastrophic” conditions, one person even calling it a “graveyard.” Prisoners reported unclean drinking water, starvation, torture, and other alarming human rights violations.
  • Amnesty International recently reported that Palestinian detainees have faced worsening conditions in Israeli prisons since October 7. They found clear cases of torture and other forms of humiliation being used against Palestinians.
