- The CTV News article doesn’t give voice to any of the protesters who participated in the protest. This is in contrast to other articles which give voice to Mandla Mthembu, one of the protest leaders. The CTV News article only quotes one of the group’s social media posts.
- The article focuses on the police response and arrests, and makes no attempt to provide context for this extraordinary action taken by the protestors. Other than mentioning that the protestors were "pro-Palestinian," the article give no context on Israel's two months of bombing of Gaza.
- The article omits to publicize the reason for the protest: a call for an permanent ceasefire and for Canada to divest from Israel. Other news outlets covered the arrest of 5 protesters, and the local support the protest received.
