Challenge Canadian Press for glossing over Israel's war crimes

The article fails to mention the number of Palestinians killed since October 7 while only providing the number of Israeli casualties. According to OCHA, as of December 3, 15,523 Palestinians were killed, while 41,316 were injured. This is essential context. This makes the article unbalanced.

Please help us challenge this incomplete Canadian Press article that totally overlooks Palestinian concerns.

  • The article fails to mention the number of Palestinians killed since October 7 while only providing the number of Israeli casualties. According to OCHA, as of December 3, 15,523 Palestinians were killed, while 41,316 were injured. This is essential context. This makes the article unbalanced.
  • Similarly, the article also fails to mention the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza overnight into Sunday (since the truce ended). According to OCHA, from the afternoon of December 2 to the afternoon of December 3, at least 316 Palestinians were killed and at least 664 were injured.
  • The article omits details about Israel’s military incursion into Gaza and the human cost. It glosses over Israel’s violations of international humanitarian law. According to OCHA, as of December 3, 1.8 million Palestinians are internally displaced, this represents 78% of Gaza. 60% of Gaza's housing units are reportedly destroyed or damaged, and 26 hospitals (out of 35) are out of service.
  • The article takes Israel’s opinion at face value without expressing skepticism. Israel has repeatedly had its claims debunked since October 7 regarding critical details. Canadian Press cites Israel's claim that Hamas leaders are hiding in Khan Younis and Rafah. This serves as a dangerous justification for Israel's bombing campaign, which continues to kill unthinkable numbers of innocent civilians. This is a practice that is being increasingly described as genocide by experts and advocates alike.
