PressProgress covers CJPME’s Ben Mulroney boycott

A new report by PressProgress investigates the controversy surrounding Ben Mulroney, host of Global News' The West Block, following the collective boycott launched by CJPME. The article details Mulroney’s social media posts containing misinformation regarding Israeli and U.S. strikes on Iran.

CJPME Director Jason Toney provided several comments for the piece, emphasizing the need for accountability. 

Significantly, the report confirms that Mulroney’s 2025 trip to Israel was funded by the Israeli government—a direct conflict of interest and a violation of standard journalistic ethics. 

CJPME maintains its call for Global News to take immediate disciplinary action.
