On March 4, 2026, CJPME media advocate Nikki Mutch was published in The Hill Times. She responded to an op-ed discussing Canada’s arms export loophole and Prime Minister Mark Carney’s vision for a renewed global order during his Davos speech.
In her letter, she argued that Canada’s actions contradict the human rights values Carney claims to promote, noting that Canadian weapons systems and military technology have supported U.S. operations abroad and Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
