Article uses misleading and inaccurate language regarding Israel’s military occupation of the west bank

I have mentioned several times in the past in letters of concern that I and my colleagues have sent to you that the use of words such as “seized” or “captured” when describing Israel’s occupation of the west bank is misleading and inaccurate for several reasons.

CJPME has and will continue to honour the commitments to self-determination and sovereignty we have made to Indigenous Nations and Peoples.  CJPME also acknowledges the historical oppression of lands, cultures and the original Peoples in what we now know as Canada and fervently believes that its work should contribute to the healing and decolonizing journey we all share together.
