Re: “Winnipeg charity run raises money for Jerusalem hospital”

"About a hundred Winnipeggers joined the effort to show solidarity with Palestinian refugees and those living under occupation. Such a cause is more than worthy of recognition."

One notable event unfortunately lacked coverage in the local papers this past weekend: Winnipeg’s Run for Palestine.

For the second year, the event raised funds for a neonatal department at the Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. The national Canadian charity that organizes the events has raised more than $500,000 for Palestinian refugee camps and other projects in the West Bank, Gaza, and Lebanon.

About a hundred Winnipeggers joined the effort to show solidarity with Palestinian refugees and those living under occupation. Such a cause is more than worthy of recognition.
