When world powers continue to tolerate, and even justify and support, Israel’s ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, this review’s careful reflection on Palestine’s rich history - including the history of occupation under the British Mandate and how that supported and shaped Israel’s settler colonial occupation - is all the more timely and important.
