Please help us thank Toronto Star and Linda McQuaig for excellent opinion article about Canada’s possible role in pushing for Palestinian Statehood.

  • The opinion article sheds light on the reality in Gaza and the West Bank: the plight of children, 2 million Palestinians without a home, starvation, displacement, and the presence of 700,000 Israeli settlers.
  • The opinion article highlights Israel’s responsibility and the US and Canada’s complicity in Israel’s actions against Gaza.
  • McQuaig mentions Israel’s PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, longheld view that he will never accept a Palestinian state.
  • In an attempt to answer her question, McQuaig mentions the EU and Biden’s actions and favorable position for a 2-state solution and how Canada can play the same role it did to end the apartheid in South Africa (ex. The imposition of economic sanctions even with opposition from their allies, and its influence).
