Thank you from CJPME
All of this to say, thank you for reporting on Israel’s restrictions affecting Doctors Without Borders’ humanitarian operations in Gaza. Please continue to do so, particularly as mainstream media marginalizes Palestinian perspectives and relegates them to the end of articles.

Article should mention Israeli settlements are illegal under int law
Palestinians’ claims of ownership are rarely approved; many families depend on decades-old Ottoman-era documents or were never permitted to formally register their land in the first place. This is an illegal decision that amounts to de facto annexation under occupation and reflects Israel’s greater escalating annexation, occupation, and apartheid policies in the occupied West Bank.

Re: US says ambassador’s comments on Israel and the Middle East were taken out of context
"You state Huckabee’s comments were taken 'out of context' but this is absolutely untrue. Exactly what 'context' were they taken out of? His comments were clear and unequivocal and represents an established pattern of US foreign policy that shows complete disregard for international law and norms of behaviour."

Concerns about today's article "Iran pushes back against Trump ahead of Geneva talks in face of major U.S. military
The article lacks any reference to the international law context. For example, whether U.S. strikes in June were authorized under international law, whether these attacks violated the UN Charter, and what Iran’s rights are under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, all merit inclusion in the article in order to provide the reader an adequate, balanced understanding of the situation.

Feedback on "Aid groups petition Israeli court to let them keep working in Gaza after ban over new rules"
"We question your quoting of COGAT’s statistic that “less than 1% of the total aid” going into the Gaza strip is contributed by the 37 aid groups whose licenses are to be revoked. Where was the 1% statistic derived from? What was included in the 1%? Tents? Food? Baby formula? Water? Medical supplies? What about medical, public health and sanitation services? As you indicated later in the article, Palestinians in Gaza rely on aid groups for food, water, health care, shelter and other essentials."

Thanks from CJPME
I appreciate that your analysis did not isolate Canada’s sovereignty concerns from its broader global responsibilities. Your willingness to question defence spending increases, economic realignment, and Canada’s stance on Gaza reflects the kind of rigorous, independent journalism that strengthens public discourse.

Lack of context about Israel's strike in Bekaa
Without this crucial context, readers are left without the information necessary to form an accurate assessment of the so-called ceasefire. We therefore urge you, at minimum, to note that since the November 27, 2024 agreement, there have been over 12,000 documented Israeli violations, just as you chose to highlight Hezbollah’s claimed strike. Presenting only one side of post-ceasefire is an incomplete narrative.

Your article on prayers at al-Aqsa
First, the headline and body refer to a “ceasefire.” Its description as “shaky” is wholly inadequate; a better qualifier would be “ephemeral” or “chimerical.” This is because, at last count, Israel’s military had killed over 600 Palestinians in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
