Thanks for article on Israel's siege
Let’s not forget this situation is not rooted in crop failure, drought or UN funding reductions. The core of the problem comes from a single source; a cruel Israeli siege. Something your article does not directly mention except when it is alluded to in the second photo and its caption. Nevertheless we appreciate that you are keeping Canadians informed of this terrible situation.

Thank you for using the term 'ethnic cleansing' in your segment on Israel
As journalists, I know you understand the power of repetition in messaging. In this short segment, you use the words “relocate” twice, and “remove”, “migration” and “get them out” once each, for a total of five instances to establish the idea of Israel’s plan in the mind of the listener. By contrast, there is one quick mention of human rights groups noting this amounts to ethnic cleansing.

Thanks + feedback on balanced article regarding confrontation at City Hall
The article did a very good job at including pro-Palestinian perspectives, including giving space to demonstrator Zev Saltiel, a member of Independent Jewish Voices Montreal and Montreal Anti-Apartheid who specified that the same man approached the crowd and began directing insults at people there.

Pejorative intent in framing Palestinian death tolls
As has been pointed out previously, Hamas is synonymous with terrorism in CBC’s media framing of this conflict. As such, the addition of the “Hamas-run” or “Hamas-led” qualifier is inherently pejorative in intent. By associating the civilian suffering with Hamas, it effectively diverts sympathy away from those people killed and injured, and helps demonize and dehumanize Palestinians.

Thank you for addressing the conflation of antisemitism and anti-Zionism
The intentional and dangerous conflation of antisemitism and anti-Zionism is the agenda of white nationalists, war profiteers, and anti-Palestinian organizations and it should be concerning to all Canadians that our government continues to push this narrative.
