Inaccurate Use of "anti-Israeli intimidation" in article

Using the words ‘anti-Israeli-intimidation’ or ‘anti-Israeli related intimidation’ to frame your headline and opening statement is blatant misinformation and a factual inaccuracy. This is a very tense time especially for the Jewish, Arab, Muslim and Palestinian communities. Using language that is inaccurate and inflammatory does not help to ease the tension and does a disservice to both the Minister and the public in general. Continue reading

Thanks for exemplary article in The Beacon Herald

Your article was exemplary, offering the exact kind of context we advocate for at CJPME in reporting on Palestine-Israel from highlighting the Nakba and the ICJ ruling regarding Israel’s possibility of committing genocide in Gaza to elevating pro-Palestine voices - ensuring they are not buried at the end of the article. Thanks for shedding light on systemic anti-Palestinian racism at UofYork !

Thank you once again for your courageous reporting on York's anti-Palestinian racism report. Just as antisemitism deserves attention in the media, we must also highlight anti-Palestinian racism, which is being used to silence voices that are critical of Israel’s ongoing genocidal campaign in occupied Gaza and its apartheid regime. He pointed out that in Arabic, it is “Falasteen,” and he delved deeper into the need for context when discussing Palestinians and their suffering in the English language. Continue reading

Thanks for balanced reporting in article about Indigo protest

In these fraught times, it is refreshing to read a balanced article that allows both sides of a dispute to speak in their own voice, while at the same time making clear the position of Canadian law on the issue of using taxpayer subsidized donations to support the armed forces of another country.   Continue reading

Thank you for attributing responsibility to Israel

The article usefully juxtaposes Israeli claims with remarks from the UN that attacks on first responders has reduced aid to “a trickle.” Too often Israeli claims are taken at face value, allowing them to get away with what are later revealed to be outright lies. Continue reading

Thank you for exposing Israel's weaponization of antisemitism to shield itself from criticism of its apartheid practices in Palestine

Although the United Nations has established these human rights standards, they are not binding. This lack of enforcement, along with the strong support Israel receives from both Western and Arab states, creates a situation where our UN standards for human rights are often ignored and weakened by selective inaction.   Continue reading

Article should mention that the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg is a pro-Israel organization

"I strongly urge you to address these oversights in your reporting and clarify that the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg is a pro-Israel organization. Without such context, your reporting can unintentionally contribute to biased narratives." Continue reading

Article falsely claims that there is a 400% increase in anti-Semitism

The use of this figure without evidence erodes public trust in the media. I urge you to retract or clarify this claim and provide a more accurate reflection of the situation based on local data. Continue reading
